At A Common America, we are deeply troubled by the current state of polarization in Congress. The lack of cooperation between parties has resulted in gridlock that prevents meaningful legislation from being passed.
To address this issue, we propose a requirement for all US House members to co-sponsor at least one bill per session with a member of a different party. This will encourage bipartisan cooperation and contribute to breaking down the barriers currently hindering legislative progress.
We believe a bipartisan approach to passing legislation will foster collaboration among our representatives and help restore faith in our democratic process. We urge your support of this petition to demand more from our elected officials. Sign today and show our elected officials we expect more bipartisanship and cooperation!
we’re a bipartisan organization on a mission.
At A Common America, we’re working to strengthen moderate political candidates and causes who will fight for all of us in the middle—so that we can come together and ensure the safety and well-being of our families’ futures.
